We know that every game is unique, so we focus on doing what makes the most sense for each game we work on. Sometimes that means getting covered by websites, sometimes it’s reaching out to content creators and streamers, sometimes community and social media presence is the goal and once in a while a game will require thinking outside the box.
More often than not it’s all of these things in different amounts, so we created three different options to help get your game out there!
Option 1
PR & Marketing Retainer
Our “all-in” monthly retainer. We’ll put our heads together and figure out how we can boost your beautiful indie game’s presence and work with you to bring it to the right people. Services included in our monthly retainer contract include:
Option 2
PR & Marketing Consulting Call
Sometimes you don’t need a full package of hands-on help but just want to pick the brains of some people that spend way too much time looking at Steam, comparing sales stats, watching trailers and making gifs.
A one-off consulting call usually takes a few hours where we discuss whatever you seek advice for (ideally it’s indie game related as we are not so good at giving advice on other life situations).
Possible topics to discuss include PR plans, positioning advice, review of pitch decks, guidance for DIY PR and marketing campaigns, asset ideas, social and community strategies and much more.
Option 3
Steam Page Overhaul
Your Steam page is the place where you’ll send potential players before launch, and it’s the place every one of them will make the final decision on whether to purchase your game. That’s why a professionally produced and polished Steam page makes all the difference for indies.
In an overhaul, we build your page from scratch: write tailored text to perfectly explain the game and set the right expectations, advise on custom Steam assets, and update all those little tick boxes and tags in the back end to maximise visibility according to the latest trends

Promoting indie games is hard! Very hard!
In our new Podcast series, the Future Friends Games team share insights from years of marketing, PR, community and social media management for indie games, from high-level principles to detailed case studies.
Latest episode
We (that would be Thomas Reisenegger, Paul Nadin, Alex Chinchen, Kris Wingfield-Bennett, Grace Curtis) are based all over the UK and the latest Future Friend Laura Topakian is based in France. After working together for a while we founded Future Friends Games in 2017. We love indie games, and we started the company to help get them the attention they deserve. Here’s the team (in order of joining):
About Thomas
Twitter / Olima
Best known for his popular GDC talks, Thomas founded Future Friends with the goal of working on coolcoolcool indie games, but has since pivoted to becoming a tiktok influencer
About Paul
Twitter / ThisPaulNadin
The co-founder of Future Friends, Paul brought his experience in community and social media management, PR, content creation and running a kitchen to whatever it is that he does now
About Alex
Twitter / Beesbreakfast
The locals tell legends of sighting Alex in the woods, but modern science remains baffled. He adds the best part of decade’s experience in working on some of the biggest IPs in gaming to the team
About Kris
Twitter / Kriswb
No spreadsheet is too big, no tool too new, no platform backend too obtuse. Kris spends all day in the trenches with a smile on his face, and going the extra mile means you might catch sight of him in the distance
About Laura
Twitter / laurabutwhy
If you’ve heard of it, she’s played it. If you haven’t heard of it, she played it years ago. Laura has a huge passion for not only games but all kinds of visual art from fashion to graphic design and a top-tier pun game even in her second language
About Grace
Twitter / GracinhaWrites
The freshest member of the team in every sense. Grace became a Future Friend after applying for an internship but we couldn’t work out what an internship is so she just works here now. A fountain of dry wit cranking out tasks at an absurd rate combined with writing skills that are frankly too good has made her far too powerful.
